Deloitte’ s 2025 Global CPO Survey found that leaders expect digital transformation, renegotiating with existing suppliers and increasing levels of supplier collaboration to deliver the most value. Developing supply chain resiliency and enhancing demand management were also cited as top strategies.
The most effective mitigation strategies for concerns like geopolitical uncertainty include enhancing supplier information sharing and collaboration, reinvesting in nearshoring or reshoring operations and enabling greater supply chain visibility.
Challenges and opportunities The environment for manufacturing is anything but simple.“ Supply chain volatility, shifting global trade dynamics and the ongoing pressure to innovate while controlling costs are all top of mind,” Graham says.“ Companies must navigate material shortages, geopolitical uncertainty and rapid technological change, all while meeting rising customer expectations for speed, quality and sustainability.”
