Orchestration requires a consistent data environment. The Coupa platform is powered by $ 9.5T in community spend data that informs the operation of artificial intelligence, putting forth a full host of persona-based agents, called Coupa Navi Agents.
As users enter requests, the system interprets the requirement in relation to organisational data and community benchmarks. This information enables the platform to guide procurement decisions at the moment the request is created.
Tricia Miller, SVP, Product Marketing and Chief Evangelist at Coupa, says:“ Comparisons against benchmarks or giving specific recommendations based on community data are great examples where we use our $ 9.5T spend data. The Supplier Discovery Agent is already giving recommendations during intake based on community data.”
This approach allows the system to recommend suppliers or identify risks during the intake process rather than after a purchase occurs.
Coupa coordinates the exchange of procurement data across enterprise systems including ERP platforms and contract management systems. This coordination maintains a consistent data model across procurement workflows.
The platform therefore performs two functions simultaneously. It records procurement activity while also interpreting that activity in relation to the broader procurement environment.
