An example of that is Invoice by Amazon, where we consolidate all suppliers. We manage the complexity but make it very simple for the organisation – they receive one invoice. We internalise the complexity and make it easy for our customers.
For the East London NHS Trust, they had this complexity, but also needed better tools to track and manage spend across their entire user base, across which categories and to identify saving opportunities. We helped them save more than £ 100k annually on tail spend alone – money that can be reinvested back into patient services. That’ s what we’ re here for: to simplify, to cut the busy work and to help our customers do what they do best, which is serve their own customers.
What would you say is the biggest thing Amazon Business does when it comes tostreamlining processes? I think making sure we help our customers with supply resilience in their supply chain matters a great deal. I mentioned the millions of suppliers we have, without the complexity of managing a fragmented base – we internalise that. We also provide very easy dashboards with near real-time data. We’ ve worked on our interfaces to make them even simpler for our users. Our latest launch is Amazon Quick, an AI assistant which connects to apps. It connects with their emails, messaging apps and files which helps it automatically to understand their context,
