Implementation timeline and ongoing partnership The initial phase began in summer 2025 with the development of decarbonisation roadmaps for each site. Engineering studies will guide the implementation, with infrastructure rollout starting in 2026. The contract also includes provisions for Siemens to operate and maintain the new infrastructure, ensuring long-term efficiency and resilience.
The partnership builds on more than 50 years of supplier collaboration between Siemens and Airbus. Previous procurement initiatives have included factory automation, industrial software, safety and security and building automation technology, demonstrating the value of long-term strategic supplier relationships.
