MOUNTING PRESSURE, LIMITED INVESTMENT
Despite spend analysis being the top AI priority, procurement professionals continue to report mounting pressure with insufficient support. According to the report, 72 % say that expectations on their function increased over the past year, with challenges intensified by inflation, supply disruption, ESG demands and data complexity.
In the US, 81 % of leaders report procurement-related challenges have increased significantly, while in the UK it’ s 74 % and France 73 %.
Regional differences also shape adoption patterns. In the UK, only a fifth of leadership teams identify procurement as a priority for AI investment. This contrasts with higher rates in Australia( 44 %), Singapore( 41 %) and the US( 37 %).
