STRATEGIC SOURCING
If you start inserting bad data into any level of technology, it potentially increases the risks you are trying to solve.
We can help at both ends, finding that the bulk of our value is generated in building transparency at the start, rather than the technology solution at the back end. We can help deploy supplier data platforms that consolidate audits, certifications and performance data into a single system of record, or connect you with systems that are already in place within the supply chain – why develop something internally that someone is already running for you? – again, you won’ t get that within building that initial understanding of your supply chain. AI-driven analytics help flag suppliers that are drifting into non-compliance or showing early signs of financial stress.
The real breakthrough, however, is in turning data into decisions. At APS, we provide clients with compliance dashboards that are overlaid with a clear strategy that not only satisfy reporting requirements, but also give procurement leaders and boards clear, actionable insights. This transforms compliance from a burden into a decision-making advantage.
“ We’ re entering a new era where ESG compliance is not optional, it’ s a license to operate”
Paul Kefford,
Managing Director, Atlas Procurement Solution
Q. LOOKING AHEAD, HOW DO YOU THINK NEW ESG-DRIVEN REGULATIONS WILL SHAPE PROCUREMENT STRATEGIES FOR ELECTRONICS AND TECHNOLOGY INDUSTRIES OVER THE NEXT FIVE YEARS?
» We’ re entering a new era where ESG compliance is not optional, it’ s a license to operate. In five years, companies that cannot prove ethical, low or no-carbon and fully traceable sourcing will find themselves excluded from major markets.
Procurement strategies will adapt in three ways. First, ESG is right now to become embedded in every sourcing decision, alongside price and quality. We ensure that is the case in our own internal processes when acting on behalf of our customers: it’ s mandatory for it to be equally weighted against the common pre-requisites. Second, supplier partnerships will deepen, with procurement teams co-investing in sustainable practices such as lowimpact manufacturing, greener logistics and circular design, while ensuring competition throughout. Finally, procurement will rise to board-level visibility, driving ESG reporting that investors and customers increasingly demand and we all should simply expect.
At APS, we see this shift as an opportunity, not a burden. Companies that act early and transparently will win trust, attract investment and strengthen their supply chains for the complexity that is ahead of everyone. Our role is to help them turn regulation into a platform for growth, delivering transparency and results.
