As a Member of the Board of Management at BMW, Nicolai oversees the company’ s Purchasing and Supplier Network. In his role, he manages the industrial supply chain scaling for BMW’ s electrification, high-voltage battery production and vehicle platforms. Nicolai joined BMW in 2004. He has climbed through the ranks of the automotive manufacturer over the last two decades. Nicolai studied Industrial Engineering, specialising in Mechanical Engineering, at the Technical University of Darmstadt. He also holds a Doctorate in Economics at the Technical University of Darmstadt.
