Jim Connell
Chief Procurement Officer JPMorgan Chase & Co .
As Chief Procurement Officer and Head of Global Supplier Services for JPMorgan Chase & Co , Jim Connell is responsible for sourcing , procurement , third party oversight ( TPO ), payment operations and supplier control assessment for a US $ 19bn supplier spend portfolio , distributed across 31,000 engagements with 6,500 suppliers .
Prior to this role , Connell was the Head of Third Party Operations and Controls for the firm , and previously led the firm ' s Corporate TPO group , inclusive of the PO policy , technology , regulatory engagement and cybersecurity .
Before joining the firm in February 2014 , Jim served as CPO for RBS Citizens Bank , managing Strategic Sourcing , the Contract Management Centre of Excellence and asupplier spend profile of US $ 1.7bn per year .
Prior to accepting the CPO role in 2012 , Jim held various leadership positions within BS Citizens Bank ' s sourcing function , including management of the marketing , HR , technology , facilities and operations sourcing teams . Prior to entering the financial services industry in 2008 , Jim practised strategic sourcing for seven years at Comverse , Inc ., which followed a tenure as a corporate technology sales representative .

Steve Freeman
Chief Procurement Officer Chevron
Steve Freeman has 41 years of experience in reservoir management , asset development , organisational capability , corporate strategy , and general management , and has spent more than 17 years at Chevron in a number of roles . He started his career with ARCO as a reservoir engineer and held positions of increasing responsibility in Oklahoma , Texas , Alaska , and California .
In 2000 , Freeman joined Unocal as the General Manager of Corporate Strategy and was subsequently named Vice President , Production and Reservoir Engineering . After serving on the Chevron-Unocal Merger Integration Team , he held assignments in Corporate Strategic Planning ; GM Reservoir Management , North America ; GM Organisational Capability , Upstream ; GM Gas , Southern Africa ; Gas Director , Nigeria / Mid-Africa ; and Country Manager , China . He was named Chief Procurement Officer in 2019 .
Freeman graduated with a BSc degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines in 1981 and the Program for Management Development from Harvard Business School in 2001 .
