For over 15 years , Patricia has helped lead the sourcing of diverse ingredients and materials for the world ' s largest food and beverage company , Nestlé . She has been with the company since 2006 , when she joined as Group Manager before climbing the ranks to numerous high-level positions such as Assistant Vice President , Global Vice President and Head of Commodities , and more , before her current position of Chief Procurement Officer . Before joining Nestlé , Stroup spent nine years as a Director at Hilmar Cheese Company , Inc .
She has since gone on to hold many prestigious procurement roles at Nestlé , with her current role making her partially responsible for transforming the sourcing of key commodities – not only for Nestlé , but for the global food industry as a whole . Working closely with her team , Stroup has brought together priorities on social responsibility , sustainability impact , business results , and building long-term partnerships . Through this , it ’ s clear to see Patricia ’ s belief in forging diverse partnerships with a team of international experts .
On top of her extensive experience in the industry , Patricia also boasts two University degrees : a bachelor ' s degree in Communications & Public Relations from Virginia Tech and a Master of Business Administration ( MBA ) in Business Administration & Management as well as in Economics from the Purdue University Daniel ’ s School of Business .
When Patricia is not navigating the complexities of procurement , she can be found catching up on the latest Freakonomics episode or enjoying the surrounding Swiss landscapes .
