Klaus has served as Chief Procurement Officer and Head of Supply Chain at Siemens AG since May 2013, a role he describes as exhilarating and humbling, shaped above all by the people who make up the procurement community. Klaus places strong emphasis on balancing productivity, sustainability, resilience, quality, innovation and speed, and is leading the ONE Procurement initiative, which connects people, expertise, data and technology across Siemens’ global organisation as the company advances. Klaus joined Siemens in 1996 and has held a range of senior leadership roles, including CPO and Head of Supply Chain for Sector Industry, CEO and CFO of the Product / Project Business unit and Head of the Productivity Program Division. Before Siemens, he worked as a consultant for strategic procurement and processes. Klaus has also served as an Advisory Board Member for Procurement Leaders since 2018.
