CONTRACT MANAGEMENT
SCALING VISIBILITY AND GLOBAL STANDARDISATION
The impact of this shift was immediate and measurable. By moving away from a legal-centric bottleneck to a more accessible platform, Accor achieved a significant surge in engagement.
• User Adoption: Total CLM usership grew from 200 to more than 600.
• Decentralisation: Access was granted to daily contract managers outside the legal department for the first time.
• Operational Efficiency: The transition eliminated the need for manual data refreshes, saving hours of time previously spent on email chains.
As Richard explained:“ You don’ t need to send emails anymore to legal, users are given access to the contracts they need access to, there’ s hours of time saved already with just that part of the solution.” Following the initial rollout, Accor implemented a Global Contracting Policy, introducing standardised templates and rules across the entire organisation to ensure every new hotel partnership adhered to unified performance expectations. According to IBM, contracts sit at the centre of how organisations control cost and support risk management efforts while helping ensure supplier performance. When contract management lacks visibility, it becomes difficult to ensure that these expectations are consistently met.
