Pillar 3: agentic orchestration and automation

Procurement automation historically relied on predefined workflow logic. Requests followed a sequence of steps that required human confirmation before the system proceeded to the next stage.
Agentic orchestration introduces a model in which artificial intelligence performs tasks within the workflow. Instead of waiting for manual input, agents interpret data and execute actions.
Tricia says:“ A simple example is the Requisition Creation Agent where Navi can look at unstructured data in a document, for example a statement of work, and create a requisition.”
More complex processes involve multiple agents operating within a single workflow.
“ In complex sourcing optimisation processes, agents execute steps including creating the sourcing event, selecting the correct template and discovering the appropriate suppliers in sequence,” Tricia adds.
This model reduces the number of manual actions required to progress procurement requests.
