FINANCE & SPEND
Available now for eligible Prime Business members, Amazon Quick can assist with tasks including analysing information, creating documents, researching topics and connecting insights across different applications. Rather than simply responding to prompts, Amazon says Quick can connect with multiple data sources and applications to help automate tasks and support decision-making. The company also announced enhancements to its spend management capabilities.
Spend Visibility has been redesigned with a new interface, broader access and near real-time purchasing analytics. The tool now includes 24 months of historical data, allowing organisations to identify longer-term purchasing patterns and seasonal trends. Spend Anomaly Monitoring has also been expanded, with finance and group administrators gaining access alongside primary administrators. Weekly digest emails will help teams identify unusual purchasing activity and respond more quickly.
Together, these tools are designed to help organisations move from reactive purchasing towards more proactive spend management.
The human side of AI transformation While technology dominated much of the discussion, one of the strongest messages from the event was that procurement transformation remains fundamentally human.
A panel discussion featuring Valeriia Basko, Director, Procurement Technology and Enablement at Liberty Global, and Donna Osiri, Chief Procurement Officer at Sony Pictures Entertainment, explored how organisations are balancing technology adoption with human expertise.
Both companies operate highly complex procurement environments. Sony Pictures sources everything from production requirements such as animals and period furniture to corporate services including legal and security support. Liberty Global manages procurement across telecoms, power stations, data centres and multiple markets with different operating models.
