Céline Vuillequez, Vice President, Amazon Business Europe

Céline Vuillequez, VP of Amazon Business Europe, discusses cutting procurement red tape, leveraging AI and driving responsible purchasing at scale. Modern procurement teams are being asked to do more with less, balancing supply chain resilience, strict EU sustainability compliance and cost reduction.
Speaking to Procurement Magazine, Céline speaks about how consolidating millions of fragmented suppliers into a single platform eliminates operational friction, how digital badges create a sustainability flywheel for small businesses, how an NHS Trust saved six figures by reducing invoicing complexity and why agentic AI tools like Amazon Quick are transforming procurement into a core strategic driver for future-proofed enterprise growth.
Could you introduce yourself and tell us a bit about your role at Amazon Business? I am the Vice President of Amazon Business Europe and I look after all our customers across our European locales, from small and medium-sized businesses up to large enterprises. We actively support more than eight million organisations across 11 countries, including 97 of the Fortune 100 and two thirds of the FTSE 100.
Buyers want to be sustainable. How have you worked withEcoVadis, and its data, to help businesses find the most sustainable suppliers for a business? Great tools should remove the friction to avoid having to choose between speed and responsible purchasing. We partner with more than 50 thirdparty certifiers so that our customers can decide what their guiding policies are – and these will surface as preferred products within their buyers’ purchasing workflow. That completely removes the friction and makes it really easy to embed responsible purchasing within their daily business buying. Amazon Business Analytics lets teams track spend on certified products via exportable credentials reports to make sustainability the default path.
