Generative AI can be used to gather and assess the raw data collected from suppliers during the onboarding process and make risk-based assessments of ESG, financial health, operational practices and other data points. As well as recommend a continuous evaluation method to ensure that the supplier continues to meet or exceed expected standards.” He also highlights contract analysis as another strong use case for generative AI to flag non-compliant language in standard supplier agreements and identify potential commercial risks.
This is a use case that Andrei also suggests.“ Generative AI is wellpositioned to match contract clauses with risk analysis,” says Andrei,“ automated tools are also effective at profiling lowerrisk suppliers, but still require significant human involvement in higher-risk situations. “ Customer-supplier relationships have always been interpersonal, and communication plays a key role in preserving that human element.”
