Jacob Busk Nielsen holds one of the most influential procurement roles in the world. As Group Chief Procurement Officer and Senior Vice President at Nestlé, the world’ s largest food and beverage company, he leads global procurement operations while serving as CEO of Nestrade, Nestlé’ s global procurement entity.
With over 15 years at Nestlé, Jacob has held senior leadership roles spanning Asia and Switzerland, with responsibilities at both global and regional levels. As Global Category Leader, he led procurement strategies across multiple commodity categories, working with international teams. His experience includes five years as Global Head of Procurement for NESPRESSO, the Group’ s premium coffee brand. Prior to joining Nestlé, Jacob built a strong commercial foundation in the food industry, serving as Sales Director across Europe and North America.
Jacob’ s expertise spans upstream supply chains, sustainability, cost management and supply risk strategies. He is passionate about driving innovation and efficiency to tackle global challenges. Cultural diversity, open engagement, and collaborative teamwork underpin his leadership approach.
Starting out in sales Jacob’ s path to procurement began in an unexpected place: sales. Selling directly to Nestlé had given him invaluable insights into categories and supplier relationships.
