“ My journey started on the other side of the table, in sales, selling to Nestlé,” Jacob explains.“ That experience gave me deep category knowledge and a strong understanding of what suppliers value and how partnerships can create mutual benefit.”
His deep understanding of supplier dynamics led Nestlé to recruit him to help establish a new global procurement team.
Jacob recalls:“ The mandate was clear: bring in category insight, build strategic sourcing capabilities and continue to elevate procurement from a transactional role to a value-creating function.
“ It was an exciting challenge – shaping a global team, driving innovation and embedding sustainability and resilience into sourcing strategies.”
More than 15 years later, Jacob credits the talented professionals around him for his success. He speaks with genuine appreciation about the team he has the privilege of leading.
