THE DARING LEADERS FINDING TOMORROW’ S SUCCESS
Welcome to July’ s edition of Procurement Magazine, which includes many stories that perfectly capture procurement’ s exciting evolution. I’ ve chosen two examples.
First: Best Buy’ s procurement overhaul. Led by Anna Barej, Vice President of Procurement, the company transformed from outdated processes to a cutting-edge procurement powerhouse – proving reinvention knows no industry boundaries.
We also explore an unlikely partnership: Amazon Business and Carnival Cruises, featuring procurement for floating cities and navigating complex challenges. This collaboration rewrites sourcing rules for complex industries.
What strikes me about both stories is their shared DNA: bold decision-making with smart partnerships. Best Buy didn’ t just digitise – it revolutionised. Carnival didn’ t just outsource – it strategically aligned.
