PROCUREMENT TECHNOLOGY
The explosion of vendors has created a market where procurement leaders are spending significant time just evaluating technology, not implementing it, not realising value from it.
“ When every vendor claims AI and automation, the signal gets lost in the noise. That is where the fatigue comes from. It is not fatigue with technology itself. It is fatigue with the effort required to find the right technology, integrate it and land the outcomes that were promised in the demo.”
Most sophisticated organisations are making a deliberate move towards consolidation, fewer vendors, deeper integrations and a single partner accountable for outcomes rather than features.
“ The vendors winning in this market are not the ones with the longest feature list. They are the ones building technology that customers genuinely want to use, intuitive, proven and capable of delivering value without an army of consultants to realise it. In a crowded market, that is the only sustainable differentiator,” adds Emily.
Agreeing with Emily, Ari adds:“ As tech fatigue grows, trusted advisors will continue to separate themselves from others. Organisations will gravitate toward partners with a demonstrated track record, deep domain expertise and the ability to deliver measurable value, not just features. Ultimately, customers want technology to solve real business problems and achieve meaningful results.”
